Welcome back everyone!

It has been a crazy, hectic, restless week. We are officially back in school, and most importantly, we’re in back to school MODE. This essentially means that everything gets pushed to the weekend, dishes pile up constantly in the kitchen because we’re exhausted by the time we get home, and we’re falling asleep by 8:15 PM. This usually happens in the first few weeks until we finally find our groove again (and our caffeine fixes). How is it already August? Summer went by in a flash, and everyone’s already gearing up for fall (except for the weather in SoCal, it’ll probably still feel like summer until December). This time of year feels like everyone’s in limbo, because it’s too early to celebrate any holidays,it’s hard to figure out what to wear, and the weather is awkward; it’s chilly in the morning and 90 degrees in the afternoon. Even though this is a weird season for everyone, we still have to remember to be in the moment as much as we can, and enjoy these next couple months, especially with the new school year just around the corner.  read more

Hello teacher friends-

Summer’s coming to an end which is bittersweet, however, it’ll be back around the corner before we know it! I’m excited for the new seasons up ahead, especially the crazy back to school season! Back to school season gives every teacher a chance to rebuild their classroom and put together lessons for a new group of students. Forming connections with teachers, parents, students, and staff members helps make what my husband and I do feel more like fun rather than a tedious job.
