Welcome back everyone and Happy (almost) Valentines Day! Time is flying by and I can’t believe it’s already February- we’re well into 2020! This blog post is special because I’ll be sharing acts of kindness, that you can do not just February but all year long; all in honor of this lovey dovey holiday!
There’s more to Valentine’s Day than chocolate covered strawberries and candy hearts- I think this is a great holiday to genuinely show the people you love how much you appreciate them. It’s also important to give some acts of kindness to your fellow teacher friends- after all, we’re all in this together!
So without further or due, here’s Cupid’s acts of kindness for every special person in your life!
For your teacher pals:
- Surprise them with a much needed Starbucks
- Cover one of their bus/recess duties
- Donate some books to your school’s library or a fellow teacher’s collection
- Compliments are key! Tell your bestie across the hall how great she looks!
For your partner:
- Take an hour for each other on the weekend amidst all the madness- it’s all about quality time!
- Write an appreciation note for them and sneak it in their lunch or laptop case
- Make them their favorite dessert
- Watch your favorite show together
For your forever friends:
- Send them a sweet text or email
- Go out to a new restaurant or take a trip to see them if they live far away
- Share your favorite picture/memory with them on a random day
- Make them a playlist for their long drive to work or a list of Netflix shows they just HAVE to watch
For anyone and everyone else:
- Let someone cut in front of you in line
- Volunteer at a shelter or organization on a random Saturday
- Pick up trash in the park or anywhere else you see it
- Do someone a favor
- Shop local and from small vendors
- Spread positivity on social media
- Return stray grocery carts
These are just some things you can do to make the world a better place and show the people that you love how much you appreciate them! Comment things that you do to show kindness and appreciation.
