In Southern California, all ICU beds are filled. His district has opted that for the foreseeable future high school teachers and students will teach and learn from home. I go back to school next week , on January 11, 2021. In our district, teachers are back at school, and students have had the option of learning from home or learning at school. Approximately half of our students enrolled in my school are physically back at school. read more

John and I both found out yesterday that each of our districts will be closing down schools effective Monday, March 16th and we will be teaching our students via Google Classroom for the next several weeks. St. Patrick’s Day; the day most of us would love to be Irish! In my classroom, I always struggled to find holiday activities that were rigorous and tied to standards. We didn’t have much time for art related projects, so we had to find resources that were rich in vocabulary, illustrations, and some writing to facilitate engagement as well as higher level thinking skills.
