We spend our entire lives learning. As teachers, our job is to help students reach their full potential.

A REAL Way to do Distance Learning
We think we have a solution for that problem. We have combined printed resources and online Google slides digital resources into one bundled resource. Fluidity needs to be built into our model this year since the students in our classroom may start as distance learners, then come back to the classroom, and possibly back to distance learning at some point. We need the capability of supporting student learning, regardless of where they are sitting. There may be very little time to recalibrate, so it makes sense to plan for that eventuality.
We would like to introduce our BLENDED RESOURCES. In these resources we include the printable version and a Google slide version so you can keep up with your curriculum without having to re-invent the wheel. Consider:
- Platform neutral flexibility (home and school learning) with curriculum (print or online)
- Students learn the same curriculum at the same time, regardless of where they are “sitting”
- Compatible with all major education platforms: Edmodo – Schoology – Microsoft One Drive – Notability – Nearpod – Canvas – Blackboard – Pic Collage – Seesaw – Padlet – Evernote – INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED!
- Answer keys provided (where applicable)
- We are blending our Journeys, Reach for Reading, and Wonders resources.
- in our store, click on “custom categories” to find the resources you need
- We will continue to provide blended resources as we move forward into the future.
We are converting our Journeys stories to blended bundles. Click on “Custom Categories” for individual story resources. Here are some resources we’ve retrofitted:

Distance Learning- We’re here to help
John and I both found out yesterday that each of our districts will be closing down schools effective Monday, March 16th and we will be teaching our students via Google Classroom for the next several weeks. If you got this or similar news yesterday and feel overwhelmed, do not panic. Just breathe. It will be okay. We are here to help. Take another breath, and repeat.
We have created many resources that may be able to help you. They have been created to upload into Google classroom in seconds. We are happy to answer questions, sample resources, or just listen if you need us. I will list some resources for you if you need help with ideas:
You can teach grammar via individual grammar skills or grammar bundles. We have OVER 80 individual grammar Google-based resources available in our store. Email us if you’d like one at no charge…. theteacherteam@gmail.com. Students use their computers at home and practice these skills using resources like these:
We have bundles like this for second through sixth grades, for Literacy standards 1 an 2. You can find them in our

The Teacher Team Blog Refresh! →
Our summer has been crazy busy, and crazy fun. We’ve ventured on trips with friends, worked on TPT copiously, and have fallen in love with fitness all over again. The SoCal weather has been perfect for laying out by the pool, relaxing with a good book, and grilling! This has been the first summer in YEARS that we’ve actually had a chance to focus on really enjoying ourselves, and all of what this season has to offer. Here’s some of our favorite things to do during the day:
Carol- “I love just going with the flow, especially when it comes to sleeping in. Summer makes me slow down, in a good way; waking up, drinking coffee, and being able to work out whenever I want. Summer’s also the time where I get to focus on myself and what I like to do, getting to read some popular novels, enjoying time with my family, and maybe even catching up on some reality T.V. (Yes I love my Bravo TV network, and Live P.D. as much as the next person!)
John- “I maintain somewhat of a schedule during summer, however, it’s filled with more activities that I like doing and what I don’t have time for normally during the school year. I usually work out, read, watch baseball (Go Angels!), and woodwork on my long term projects. Carol and I like to catch up on shows that we’ve been watching on Netflix like Peaky Blinders and Bosch. Any show and movie recommendations are welcome (but no I haven’t seen Stranger Things).”
With that all being said, we thought it was time for a blog refresh on our page! Summer was a great time to recouperate, especially with our goals for TPT, as well as making time to post blogs. Hopefully within these next couple months well be able to create more content and be able to connect all of our teacher friends! Here’s a few examples of what we’ve been working on this summer aside from our blog refresh; come check them out if you have a chance! Above we have pictures of our units and below are the links to visit the resources on our site!
See you soon! Hope you all are having a fun and relaxing summer!
