Well it’s been a race to the finish but my daughter’s graduation present is done! I enjoyed making this for her and I hope she thinks of me when she uses it as she makes her way through college and beyond. I think it came out pretty well and only I know where all the mistake are! (first rule of good woodworking is to cover your mistakes so that no one can easily see them!)
Hey Everybody, John Here:
Well I have 6 weeks until my daughter graduates high school and I am in the home stretch to see if I can finish her present. You can check out my previous posts here and here to see where I started. When I left off I had made the cuts to put the case together and since then I added the decorative plugs to all the pieces.
We have been fortunate to meet some really great and gifted people on our TPT journey so far, so we thought we would introduce some of them to you!
Two weekends in a row and I found time to work on my project. How did that happen? Who knows? All I know is that I was able to make some progress on my project! I have to remember when I am doing this to enjoy the process and not focus on the outcome. If I do the little things right and take my time along the way, the finished project turns out much, much better. I wonder if I’ll have time tomorrow?
